New Hope Newsletter - April 27, 2022

Hello New Hope Families!

Last week, I shared the exciting news that the school is growing. In my excitement, I made a mistake I would like to correct. I stated that we will have two classes each in all grades K-8. Next year we will actually have two classes each in grades K-3 and grades 6-8. Grades 4 and 5 will have one class each, with a plan to expand them to two classes over the next couple of years. The growth is still exciting as we get to serve more families with Christian Education!

Teacher Appreciation Week
Next week, May 2-6, we are celebrating our amazing teaching staff with Teacher Appreciation Week. Please consider sending in a thank you card or gift to your student’s teachers letting them know how much you appreciate their hard work and dedication this year!

School T-Shirts
All students were sent home with a school shirt this week. The theme verse for the year is Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord you God is with you wherever you go.”

Re-enrollment Reminder
Applications for new students are coming in quickly, so I want to keep reminding all our families to get re-enrollment completed if you are planning to have your students back at New Hope next year. Re-enrollment packets must be completed and submitted online, along with the enrollment fee paid in order to secure a spot in the classroom. It is too late to request that the office automatically withdraw enrollment fees before May 13th, but they can still be paid in the office by cash or check. After May 13th, the re-enrollment fee increases from $140 per student to $270 per student.

Classroom Supply Fee
Last year we instituted a classroom supply fee for grades Pre-K - 6 instead of having students bring in their own set of supplies. This system simplified the process for both teachers and families, and allowed teachers to take advantage of special school and bulk discounts, making your money go farther! Next year’s Classroom Supply Fee will be added to tuition accounts for the June 4th payment for students who have already re-enrolled. After May 31st, it will be due at the time of enrollment along with the enrollment fee.

Auction Help Needed!
Our annual dinner and auction is coming up quickly! This is a wonderful, fun event that helps raise money for our school. We need many hands to make this event possible. If you are able to help in the days leading up to the auction and/or the evening of, please use the link below to sign-up.
