Resources and information for NHCS's Theatre Program and Summer Camp

Upcoming

NHCS Theatre presents "Charlotte's Web" performed onstage! All the charming characters are here: Wilbur, the irresistible young pig who desperately wants to avoid the butcher; Fern, a girl who understands what animals say to each other; Templeton, the gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed; the Zuckerman family; the Arables; and, most of all, the extraordinary spider, Charlotte, who proves to be “a true friend and a good writer.” Determined to save Wilbur, Charlotte begins her campaign with the "miracle" of her web in which she writes, "Some pig." It's the beginning of a victorious campaign which ultimately ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important to Charlotte. This is a beautiful, insightful play about friendship that will give the audience an evening of excitement and enchantment. Purchase tickets at the door or online!

Jessie Burman, Theatre Dept. Head

Hi! My name is Jessie Burman and I started at New Hope in 2022! I teach Middle School Drama and assist in teaching 1st Grade. I love helping the kids explore the world of theater and enjoy getting to have fun with them as they learn! It has been such a blessing to work at New Hope, getting to teach from a biblical standpoint and watching the students find the joy of the Lord on the stage. I would have never thought that I would get to teach theater, but the Lord is so good! I’m excited to see how this program grows!
