Monica English
MS & HS Teacher
Family Relations Coordinator
I was born and raised in Southern California and graduated from California Baptist University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Journalism. My husband Garrett and I were married in 2019, and in 2022, we felt the Lord leading us to Grants Pass, Oregon. We have loved living here ever since! In my free time, you can find my husband and I working outdoors on our homestead and tending to our animals.
My journey at New Hope began as a long-term substitute near the end of the 2024–2025 school year, and it quickly became clear that God had more in store for me as I officially stepped into my new role as the school's Family Relations Coordinator and Part-Time Secondary Teacher — and I couldn’t be more grateful! New Hope is such a special school. What first drew me to New Hope was its strong foundation in Christ and commitment to academic excellence, but what truly captured my heart was the students. During my short time as a substitute for Middle and High Schoolers, I could tell these kids were special — they have a kindness, a curiosity, and a spirit that reflects the heart of this community. As I continue working to build the school’s online image, I also pray for the opportunity to encourage and uplift every student toward their God-given potential. I’m grateful for where God has led me and excited to be a part of the Warrior family.
Random facts about me: Avid chai latte and coffee drinker, I love to sing, and I’m a bit of a dork (I can and will quote Disney movies, Cartoons, SpongeBob, The Office, or memes all day). Gotta relate to the students, right?
