Makenzie Elmore
HS Science Teacher
My name is Makenzie Elmore. I was born and raised in the beautiful Applegate Valley. I grew up on a farm and spent 9 years in the 4-H program, 4 years in FFA, and have raised everything from flowers and veggies to cattle. I graduated from Hidden Valley High School and attended Southern Oregon University, graduating with a degree in Human Services. From a young age, I have had a passion for working with children and had the opportunity to work with kids through 4-H, AWANAS, and as a teacher. I am excited the Lord has led me to New Hope and to teach young children and now young adults about Jesus's love for them.
I am moving into my fourth year at New Hope, two years as a first grade teacher, a year as a fifth grade teacher, and now moving into high school. I have a passion for science and am excited to bring hands on learning into the science classroom.
I have been married to my husband for 16 years, and we have been blessed with four amazing children. We love to hunt, camp, fish, and serve the Lord!
